I adore uncovering enchanting and one-of-a-kind places to stay with my family. A delightful family tradition we enjoy is the special weekend getaway I plan for each daughter on their tenth birthday. For our youngest, it was an escape to the woods at the Firefly Treehouse. This whimsical Airbnb captured our shared love of fireflies and whimsy.
Nestled in St. Joseph, Missouri, lies this enchanting treehouse featuring a cozy kitchen and living area, complete with a ladder leading to the quaint loft. We discovered a trove of delightful treasures throughout the treehouse, including a special "mouse" tucked into the wall (we fondly named him Ralph, inspired by The Mouse and the Motorcycle).
Firefly Treehouse was truly as adorable as its pictures. We both fell in love with it immediately and hope to make a return visit! The cozy atmosphere and charming decor made our stay unforgettable. Every corner of the treehouse was filled with delightful surprises that we can't wait to experience again.
We loved the cozy kitchen and living room area where we enjoyed games, reading, and simple meals. We came prepared with our favorite microwave meals and snacks. This was such a fun place to spend time together. The cozy decor, games, and fun space were perfect for our weekend.

My daughter loved the enchanting surprises like this "mouse" in the wall and the "gnome" in the woods. The air mattress and space were comfortable and cozy.
The owner even provides a golf cart to use during your stay as you explore the property. There are trails for hiking, a firepit, and swings.
